One of the inspiring moments the children had ....
Let's take a peek!
Guitar Lesson for Nursery
We were really very privileged to have Miss Dara, a friend of Mrs Loh with us who came all the way to our centre just to share with our Nursery children about the functions of a guitar, and how to go about playing with it. As Nursery children are now learning about sounds and musical instruments, it was a bonus to have her with us!
Songs played: Itsy Bitsy Spider, Head and Shoulders, The Wheels on the Bus and Row Your Boat and You Are My Sunshine.
No doubt, the children enjoyed themselves very much. They were all very participative, singing along to the songs being played, and doing the actions as they listen to the songs. They also learnt quite abit about the guitar - the long neck of the guitar, how many strings are attached to the guitar, and such.
Here's a little clip of the children singing the song, You Are My Sunshine :)
Halfway through, the K2 children joined in too, as they were fascinated when they saw how the Nursery children were having such a good time.
After the lesson, the Nursery children had a chance to make their own guitars with tissue boxes and rubber bands! Zane, Chloe and Ivalyn were so eager to make their own guitars. Look at how serious they were! Full of concentration! :)
