KIDS-IN-CHARGE 2010
"Hi everyone! My name's Ka Woon. Can you see what i am reading? Yes! It is a book on basketball!"
For this year's Kids-in-Charge event, we get to learn about many sports games, and one sport that we focused on is basketball!
Look at Cedric, Syarmayne and Varinda! Not only were they wearing the basketball jerseys, they were also wearing a great big smile on their faces!

We had the opportunity to learn how to shoot a mini basketball into the mini basketball hoop, and so we learnt the word "shooting" and "basketball hoop".
And here comes the exciting part, when we got to visit Jurong Secondary and learnt about the basketball game! It was really fun!
Watching our Jurong "sisters" dribbling the ball.
Indeed, we had alot of learning experiences on the sport basketball. However, we also learnt alot about other sports. One sport that we learnt about is called "Triathlon". We had the honour of getting Hazel's grandfather, uncle Chua, to come down to show us a video on Triathlon.
Let's talk about what you know about triathlon... Running? Cycling? Swimming?
Uncle Chua showing us the symbols of running, cycling and swimming on his shirt.
We were also busy decorating our mini project corner! We made a mini basketball court and had mini basketball players in the form of animals like frogs, octopuses, ostriches and cheetahs.
Here, Jia Xuan was painting our mini basketball court, blue.
We practised really hard for the real day of KIC on the 26 of June!
We had shuttle runs everyday.
Here was Li Xin!
After shuttle run, we also had practices on baton relay. Amelia's mother, who was once a runner-cum-sprinter, was kind enough to come down and taught us the right way to pass the baton.
We had warming up exercises first before we started..
"Before you start to run, you have to be in the right position first .."
"Ready? On your mark? Get set? Go!"
We also had a go at obstacle course race. We crawled under tunnels, balanced bean bags with our heads and hopped from one hula hoop to the other.
And last but not the least, we practised passing a ping pong ball with the spoon. It was really fun!
